The Gap Village is truly a one stop shopping destination, home to over 30 specialty retailers, plus Coles and the newly opened ALDI. It also has a number of professional suites.

Our Solution

Our challenge was the old analogue system required complete re-cable. Adding additional cameras to cover strategic points of interest throughout the centre and on remote buildings and carparks.

We installed a total of 57 new high definition IP cameras. This includes two Licence Plate Recognition

(LPR) cameras to record all vehicles entering the centre. This information can be used for business analytics and security.

As a working centre, all works were completed out of hours to minimise impact on trading, minimise safety concerns and keep a working CCTV system throughout the upgrade. A networked video monitoring system with a Dell server, Raid array and Milestone software. We installed a fibre back bone between the headend and nodes throughout the complex to ensure a fast and stable network that would sustain the amount of data from the IP cameras and future proof the centre for growth.
